Just cannot say enough about this tour! Charcy is one of the best tour guides I have met. Loves to talk, talks clearly, knows a lot about the 4 6s, and wants to share that knowledge! I learned and experienced sooo much in that two (plus) hours. Well worth the fee. The gift shop (supply store) has a ton of great items, including a tall coke that you will need after this tour (it was very hot and very dry). I am already planning a return trip with the family!
I had the opportunity to visit 6666 Ranch and it absolutely lived up to the reputation. The history, the land, and the overall experience are just incredible. You can feel the legacy the moment you step onto the property. The scenery is unreal, classic Texas views as far as you can see, and everything is kept in top tier condition. Great stop. GPS sent us the wrong way the first time but that's ok...the shop does have a restroom but it out around back, ask for the key. Lots of fun stuff going on inside the store and the prices are definitely reasonable!! Worth the stop!
Great drive if you're looking to get out of the house. Not much in the little town but gets you away from things. Stopped at the store for a few souvenirs. Very friendly people would definitely go on the tour.
I've been driving past 6666, my entire adult life, 30 plus years. I grew up in the panhandle, so ranches aren't a big deal to me. We were curious why there is a football stadium in the middle of nowhere now, but it's Texas. You really didn't notice the houses since they aren't close to the road. After it appeared in Yellowstone, my husband feels we have to stop there anytime we travel by, he does love their hats. So we stop and get him a new one once a year or two.
