Was looking for a reason to permanently stop business with City Bank. From refusing to issue a new debit card to a family member and closing my account with no notice. City Bank also likes to charge fees that other banks don't issue a fee for. Save some time and find a different bank to do business with.
Customer service is complete garbage , FAKE 24hr advertisement yet fraud dept. Any dept are all routed to the same number , accountabilty for their crap service is non existent , they will keep you on hold for 20 mins so they can then hang up on you and auto program the phones to relay the ....we are closed message regaurdless of your problem only they can fix on their standard 8hr day .....Thank you for making it easy for me to explain how lazy and unhelpful your customer service is EVERYDAY !
VERY Disappointed in this bank! Wont be recommending this bank to anyone and will tell my experince to people who ever ask about this bank. The manager is also no help and is rude. Before they sign you up for anything make sure not to just take their word but read every single page and line before you sign anything. 10+ years with this bank and they have treated us like we are liars and like they dont care and that speaks alot! I have a home improvement loan with City Bank. As a lot of individuals do, I manage and pay my loan online. For the past THREE YEARS I have had to deal with their online banking which is - kindly, according to my opinion - of late 1990's to early 2000's technology. Specifically, every time I try to make a "principal only" payment, while my regular payment due date is a month or more ahead, they deduct an interest payment (and not a small one) and push my regular due date payment ahead. I have always had satisfactory service, respect and courtesy. They always ask for ID and passwords which is expected due to fraud and people trying to steal identities. I get upset if they don't ask for my ID or password because anyone would be able to get into my account. There is always parking space available considering there is restaurants all around. Thank You for your service of 10+ years.
