I was willing to give this place a chance since I was referred there, and the doctor is great. However, the administration and the company who own it now are absolutely terrible with patients. You can't talk to the office you go to, you call a call center who has to leave a message with the office to call you back. Then if you have a question you ask the front, they dont know and tell you to talk to billing, then billing doesnt know and tells you to talk to the front, then billing hangs up on you. This facility has absolutely gone downhill. You never see the doctor until it’s procedure time, and the staff turns constantly! I did like my previous NP (because that’s who you see every single visit), but then the staff changed yet again. They’re rude, don’t listen, and couldn’t seem to find any info on my history. I was a patient at Amarillo Spine institute since 2021, they are now Integrated Pain. 95% of the staff is gone. The sweet Nurse Practitioner Izzy is gone and the new one I got stuck with Maleeya Rivas thinks she knows everything. Her behavior is alarming the way she thought she was the smartest person in the room. She immediately started rambling about my pain meds causing my chronic pancreatitis to flare and she would be tapering me off of them once we see how the pain block helped. This place is no longer Spine Institute of Amarillo. It's been taken over by a corporation called Integrated Pain Associates. It has been a disastrous takeover. Most of the staff has quit and over the course of the last couple of months they've had drastic turnover particularly with physician assistant nurses. I had a scheduled appointment today but they called me two days ago and told me they would need to reschedule it to the 31st of December because they didn't have enough nurses to cover the patient load. This place is horrible. Tried to push me into getting injections in my back, which I tried to tell them my pain wasn’t that bad wasn’t ready for that yet. When I said, I did not want that procedure. Didn’t she proceed to tell me that she would no longer feel my medication when I tried to tell her my pain was controlled with medication. She said that they could not do that I told her I felt like I was being pushed to do something I didn’t wanna do.
