This place is no longer Spine Institute of Amarillo. It's been taken over by a corporation called Integrated Pain Associates. It has been a disastrous takeover. Most of the staff has quit and over the course of the last couple of months they've had drastic turnover particularly with physician assistant nurses. I had a scheduled appointment today but they called me two days ago and told me they would need to reschedule it to the 31st of December because they didn't have enough nurses to cover the patient load. I asked about p... read more

I was a patient at Amarillo Spine institute since 2021, they are now Integrated Pain. 95% of the staff is gone. The sweet Nurse Practitioner Izzy is gone and the new one I got stuck with Maleeya Rivas thinks she knows everything. Her behavior is alarming the way she thought she was the smartest person in the room. She immediately started rambling about my pain meds causing my chronic pancreatitis to flare and she would be tapering me off of them once we see how the pain block helped. See in her mind she was convinced if... read more

I absolutely love dr Lee. I went in yesterday day before TG and it was just a routine med refill. I go every 3mo. Now this NP says nope every month I said but my copay. Every Month. When’s last time you had spinal injections nurse said 2023 I said it didn’t work. NP says I swear exact words no needles no pills! I maybe fill my pain meds 1x every 3 months same on muscle relaxer. Gabapentin 1x mo. So I’m not a druggie felt like one. I felt the NP was unethical and her behavior on the verge of medical malpractice suit. If she s... read more

This place has gone downhill since being bought out. I've seen 4 different NPs in a many visits. None of them know what's going on. They didn't know i had a spinal cord stimulator and asked when and where it was put in. They looked surprised to be told it was done by them a couple of years ago. I've seen better managed flea markets. They don't even know what meds they prescribed for me. I've had to tell them. They don't seem as concerned about pain management as they do pushing injections. Speaking of injections, the last ti... read more

My wife was a patient here for severe ostia arthritis. She has had this disabling issue for around 17 years. it is something she will have for the rest of her life. After going through many different medications, injections and ablations of her nerves, she was put on a medicine that gave her some relief without the long term dangers as hydrocodone can cause. This place was bought out and the new NP we saw (the previous one, along with other staff including Doctors have left) informs us they will not prescribe her this medici... read more
